With the Dog Days of summer almost behind us we turn our attention to autumn, and that means it is time for the arts in Moberly. The Moberly Council on the Arts is very proud of this season. Personally, I can not wait! We bring back well-loved friends and get to introduce you to up and coming performers.

We celebrate Moberly’s 150th Birthday with the 399th Army Band, along with other high-energy performers including award-winning juggler Brian Wending and the much-celebrated concert pianist, Rosario Andino. Six Appeal will warm our hearts as we warm our tummies this Christmas at our annual Cocoa and Carols event in December. Celebrate Mardi Gras with us as we add some Cajun flavor with the help of Columbia performers, Swampweed.

Children will be a focus this season with the beloved Mr. Stinkyfeet, AND a newly formed local children’s dramatic arts group will present Lewis Caroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”.

We complete the year highlighting our local talent from our very own community college. We are sure the drama department under Joyce Pauley, and our MACC Singers under the direction of Karen Werner will be the cherry on top of our sweet season!

MACA wants to thank our incredible supporters without whom this season is not possible. We have a daunting task – offering some of the best entertainers and arts in central Missouri. And we do take that task lightly. It is our mission to bring wonderful live arts to Moberly and YOUR faithful and continuous support makes this dream a reality.

You won’t want to miss any event this season, so take advantage of the huge savings a season ticket will bring you and your family.
